Today I would like to invoke two of the most famous rock music festivals. Also, I would like to share my interview with Bryan and Xaremmy. They talk about these music festivals. The first festival I would like to talk about is: Woodstock. This entertainment came after a movement in the United States at the end of the 60's in which people named hippies were fed up with war and they preached peace and love as a lifestyle.

Most hippies went to the event, they dressed up in brightly colored clothing with head scarves, American jewelry and both genders wore long hair. From this point of view, they showed a movement of rejection of the political system.

Bryan, could you tell us about your experience at the Woodstock Festival?

"Sure, I remember that day, I was one of the lucky people who attended Woodstock. It first took place on August 15-18 in 1969 on a farm in New York. I didn’t know about the festival, but my friend Henry was traveling by subway when suddenly he saw the promotional poster that announced it as "An aquarian exposition: 3 Days of Peace & Music", after a while, he came home and told me it was a great idea to be there, I was skeptical, but I had nothing better to do anyway. On our way to the event, we could see how a crowd was flowing towards the place. It was such chaos that caused a massive traffic jam, unexpectedly we met two guys who joined us on our trip."

"While Creedence Clearwater Revival was singing "I put a spell on you", more than 400,000 people were singing with one voice. Also, Janis Joplin caused a great furor when we listened to her vocalizing "Summertime" with her distinctive and scratchy voice. Henry and I were waiting for Carlos Santana. It was around 5 in the afternoon when he appeared with his band playing "Persuasion" and eight other songs. Jimi Hendrix was the last one who sang, all people were expecting his performance, he came on stage at 8:30 on Monday morning. "Spanish Castle Magic" was loudly applauded by more than 30,000 spectators, many people left the place early because the rain had provoked some delay in the schedule."

"Being at the Woodstock festival was one of the greatest experiences I have ever had in my life because more than 32 artists played at the same place. I don’t imagine how I would regret this moment if I hadn’t listened to my good friend Henry."

I totally agree with Bryan, it would have been a big mistake not attending that festival.

On the other hand, there is an important music festival held in Mexico City. The vision of this festival is to gather from well-known rock music artists to new coming bands from all over Ibero-America, even though groups of other genres have been invited. The festival first took place in 1998 at the Foro Sol with 2 or 4 stages.

Now let’s talk to a beautiful girl that belongs to new generations. Xaremmy, how was your experience at Vive Latino Festival?

Festival Vive Latino

"Well I attended that event in 2019, it was a particular experience because it was the 20th anniversary of the festival, I went with my sister and two friends of College on March, 16th and 17th, remarkable icons from the 80's rock music were presented such as Enrique Bunbury, Café Tacvba, Caifanes and Miguel Mateos. It also brings to my mind that Santana played for more than one hour, the whole audience gave him a standing ovation after he played his famous repertoire that made history all over the world, in which included songs like: "Black Magic Woman", "Smooth" and "The Game of Love".

"As well, American and British groups like Korn, Snow Patrol or LP performed that day. What caught my attention was that we could listen to not only rock, ska, reggae, or alternative music, but also genres such as Tejano and norteño since the Intocable band took part in it. I can say it was a surprising experience because for the first time events of freestyle wrestling were taking part in the festival. Although I am not very happy about wrestling, I think that there were a wide range of alternatives in genres and activities for every taste, culture and fun in the Vive Latino Festival."

Undoubtedly, Woodstock and Vive Latino are two extraordinary festivals that have left their mark in the music industry.
