Smart travelling

That's great! I was there last summer and it's an amazing place to visit as there are many things to do.

Where to stay?

You have to stay at a hotel right downtown. I suggest that you stay in one Juárez Ave. You can have a walk along Juárez Ave. and see the “Hemiciclo a Juárez”, a monument to Benito Juárez, a Mexican president. Then, walk to the nearest subway station and get out in Zocalo station and turn right. There you can have a look at the delightful architecture of the building around the square.

What to eat?

If you to try real Mexican food and visit one of the most amazing touristic places near the city, go to Teotihuacan. How you get there? It’s very easy: take an Uber, it's not expensive. It is going to take about an hour to arrive. Walk around the site and climb the pyramids. You can feel a strong mystical energy at the top of the Pyramid of the Sun.

this, you can go to the iconic restaurant “La Gruta”. It right behind the site. It's a fancy place where you can eat traditional Mexican food. This restaurant has a whole different concept as it is inside a grotto. if you want to try the real Mexican flavor, you need to eat in the little stands outside the site. These stands are rustic and humble, and the people that work there are from the communities close to the site but the food is delicious and at a very low price.

What to see?

There a very famous avenue called “Paseo de la Reforma”, you can’t miss the experience of walking along it. If you stay in a hotel on Juárez Ave. you to leave the hotel, and walk straight ahead for a block. During the year they set different art expositions, for example, in November there is a “Maxicraneos” (big decorated skulls) exhibition from different artists; besides, there planted “Cempasúchilt” plants along the avenue that make it look very beautiful. There are also some parades as “La marcha zombie” and the “Día de muertos” parade. Going this time of the year is great because you can live one of the most amazing Mexican festivities.

As you can see there are many amazing things to do. If you want to learn more, leave a comment.
