This is a little rule of American English pronunciation. When the letter T is between two vowels, its pronunciation changes and it becomes softer. Some adjectives change to become comparatives and superlatives, then, the letter T is trapped between two vowels (a, e, i, o, u).

Stress is the emphasis to certain words in a phrase or sentence. When people speak, not all the words have the same importance and emphasis. What kind of words are stressed?
Content words are usually stressed.
What are content words?
Verbs: run, work, speak
Adjectives: short, incredible, beautiful
Adverbs: usually, generally, quickly, badly
Nouns: home, doctor, cat, France,
Negatives: don’t, isn’t , didn’t, can’t
Function words are NOT stressed for example:
A, an, the, and, but, you, he, she, in, on, etc.
Articles, prepositions, conjunctions, pronouns, etc.
Read the idea and underline the words (click on every word) that are stressed in the sentence. Then listen to the audios of each sentences and pay attention to the stressed words.
